Coping Creative grief group.png

The Coping Creative group is for kids ages 7-12 who have experienced the loss of someone close to them. This is an art-based group that uses painting and making to explore emotions and talk about the person that is missed. It is a safe space to connect with a small group of peers who are also experiencing grief and loss, and to create memory-keeping items that provide a continuing connection with a loved one.

An in-person, 4-session group will take place on Sundays from May 5 to May 26, 2024 from 3:30-4:30pm on Granville Island

An online group is also in the works! If you are interested in an online art-based grief support group in 2024, please fill in the contact below to let me know your child's age and availability.

The Caring Creative group is for parents who are looking to create space for self-care, in community with others. Parenting takes a tremendous amount of energy, and this group is a space to rest, reflect, and recharge. Therapeutic art experiences are used to connect with your own intuitive guidance and to allow your nervous system to return to baseline. Art-making is purely explorational and no art experience is necessary. Art making is for absolutely everyone and can involve collaging, drawing, scribbling, building, weaving, ripping, and collecting.

* Childminding is available!
